Mosra Energy Limited is advancing the Kogi Iron Ore Project, strategically located across Koton Karfe and Onzo in Kogi LGA, Kogi State, as part of its commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s raw material base for steel and infrastructure development.
The Kogi site, situated on the Koton Karfe plateau, hosts oolitic and pisolitic hematite-goethite ore with iron (Fe) content exceeding 58%, characterized by excellent porosity that enhances beneficiation efficiency
Geologically, the deposit lies within the Cretaceous Bida Basin, featuring lateritic ironstone enriched with consistent mineralization zones. With shallow overburden and high recovery potential, the project promises cost-effective extraction and long-term operational sustainability
