Benue Limestone Project – Exploration in Progress

Mosra Energy Limited is developing the Benue Limestone Project in Akpagher, Gboko LGA, to harness high-grade limestone deposits (45% CaO) ideal for cement, lime, and chemical production. The deposit lies within the Cretaceous Eze-Aku Formation of the Middle Benue Trough, featuring massive, easily quarriable beds with minimal overburden.

Covering an area of 9.6 km², the project is currently in the exploration phase, with ongoing geological studies and drilling to assess full potential. Once operational, it will support Nigeria's cement industry while fostering local employment and sustainable infrastructure development.
