In alignment with current Nigeria government "Coal to Power Program" planned to generate 30 per cent of electricity needed in the country from coal.
Mosra Enerji Limited has acquired Licences covering exploration, quarry and mining for coal (lignite and sub-bituminous), limestone, granite and iron ore across Nigeria. Activities in most of our exploration licences are in advanced stage covering Delta, Kogi, Benue, Nasarawa, Kaduna and Edo Mining Blocks. 117.0753MT proven reserves of lignite deposits has been identified within EL20981 in Delta tenement while 11.75MT of sub-bituminous coal identified in EL20288 of Kogi tenement.
We have however identified huge reserves of Lignite and Sub-bituminous coal sufficient to generate power for at least 50 years and subject to further increase after completion of exploration work on our licenses.
COAL TO POWER
Internationally, coal is currently the most widely used primary fuel, accounting for approximately 40% of the world's electricity production. This situation is likely to remain until at least 2020.
Nigeria is endowed with abundant coal reserve of the required quality necessary for power generation and with the support of the Nigerian Government particularly via the "Coal to Power Program", we have identified huge reserves of coal sufficient to generate power for at least 50 years.
Mosra Enerji has aligned with the current administration plan to generate 30 per cent of electricity needed in the country from coal.
Consequently, we have obtained coal exploration Licenses in eight sites in Nigeria. we are currently working on developing these coal properties exclusively for power generation.
Delta Lignite Coal Project is located within the Azagba-Ogwuashi lignite Formation and the assets comprises of two exploration license EL20981 and EL30273. EL20981 project site is located within four communities (Ukwu-Nzu, Obomkpa, Ugboba and Ugbodu) in Aniocha North Local Government of Delta State approximately 10 km off Benin – Onitsha expressway covering 462 Cadastral Units (92.4 Km2) and EL30273 is located about 35 km from Asaba, Delta State capital in Ebu community, Oshimili North Local Government of Delta State, South-South Nigeria with total area coverage of 55 Cadastral Units (11 Km2).
The company’s operation in iron-ore exploration project is currently within two project sites of Kogi and Nasarawa State. The Kogi site is located on Koton Karfe plateau consisting of Olitic iron ore deposit and the Nasarawa site is located within Alhamis community.
